This is the number one favorite among our guests! – The Nauyaca Waterfalls are one of the main attractions in the South Pacific of Costa Rica and definitively one of the most popular with visitors to the area. The property is owned by a local Costa Rican family, who have been doing horseback riding tours to these two beautiful waterfalls for many years.
The tour will start with a 40-minute horseback trip accompanied by a local bilingual guide to “Lulo’s” home were you will be treated to a delicious Tico style breakfast. Once finished, you will continue for a further 20 minutes on horseback until you reach the two beautiful waterfalls towering 150ft and 65ft in height. There you will be given the chance to do some swimming in the refreshing sparkling natural pools. The main pool has a depth of about 20ft and a surface area of 3000 sq. ft. giving you the opportunity to climb the waterfalls as well as jump into the pool. There are other natural swimming pools of smaller size that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
An extensive network of trails trough the rainforest affords excellent wildlife & bird watching as well as the viewing of tropical plants. On the way back by horseback you will stop at “Lulo’s” home for a delicious typical home-made Costa Rican lunch before you head back to the entrance.
